Features & benefits

Prestik is the original rubber based reusable putty adhesive that was invented in 1970. It is fun, clean, safe and easy to use and it provides an ideal alternative to drawing pins or sticky tape, with over a thousand uses around the home, office and school! Made in South Africa for over 50 years, Prestik will not dry out and it can be used over and over again. It will never dry!

Bostik Prestik sticks extremely well to non porous surfaces such as metal, glass, plastics, vinyl coated and painted surfaces. Also sticks well to porous surfaces such as paper, boards, cloth, and wood.

How to use

  • Ensure that surfaces are clean, dry and free of any dust, grease and loose materials.
  • Pull off a piece of Bostik Prestik and activate it by pulling and stretching. Roll into a ball, place between the two surfaces, and press firmly to adhere.
  • To prevent oil stains to posters, we recommend that strips of tape be applied to the back of the poster and the Bostik Prestik be attached to this area as opposed to directly onto the poster.

FAQs

How do I prevent oil stains on the wall when sticking posters down?

We recommend that strips of tape be applied to the back of the poster and the Prestik be attached to this area as opposed to directly onto the poster.

How do I remove Prestik from Clothes?

Use lighter fluid or Low Aromatic Cleaning Benzine (LACB) to remove off fabric. Check for colourfastness before using any solvents.

Is Prestik safe for children?

Yes. It is 100% safe for children as it is solvent free and non toxic. The rubber base in Prestik is the same as in chewing gum, although we don’t recommend that you substitute your chewing gum with Prestik! Prestik should be kept away from small children as it can present a choking hazard if accidentally swallowed.
