How to use

Clean both bonding surfaces thoroughly and remove water, oil, grease, dust and other impurities. Apply even coats of Bostik Rugby Contact Cement on both surfaces. Allow the adhesive to dry for 20–30 minutes, but do not let it dry excessively. Join the materials carefully, making sure they are aligned before pressing. Press firmly using even hand pressure, a roller or a hammer. Remove excess adhesive with a suitable solvent cleaner before the glue dries.

This Rugby cement is used for bonding rubber, leather, leatherette, rubber foam, metal, canvas, and plywood to similar or dissimilar materials. It can be used as Rugby for shoes and when bonding compatible shoe materials such as rubber, leather, and leatherette. It is also suitable as a general-purpose Rugby pandikit for DIY repair, assembly, and contact bonding tasks.

Limitations

This solvent Rugby adhesive contains flammable solvent mixtures, so it must be used away from flames, sparks, electrical sources, and other ignition sources. Use only in well-ventilated areas to avoid excessive inhalation of vapors. Materials should be aligned carefully before pressing, as repositioning may be difficult after contact bonding. Avoid excessive drying before joining surfaces. Excess adhesive should be removed with a suitable solvent cleaner immediately before the glue dries.
