How to use

Blu Tack® performs best on non-porous surfaces e.g. painted surfaces, glass, metal etc. Do not use on recently decorated surfaces or absorbent, silk-screen printed, or hand stencilled wallpaper.

  1. Pull off a piece of Blu Tack® and activate it by pulling and stretching
  2. Roll into a ball, place between the two surfaces and press firmly

Applications

This sticky tack can be used to hold up posters, cards, children’s paintings, certificates, party decorations, maps and messages. It can also help keep lightweight items in place, such as photos in albums, ornaments on shelves, screws on screwdrivers, model parts during painting or gluing, and picture frames. It may also be used to store small items, support floral arrangements, lift fluff or dust from hard-to-reach areas, and block light breezes as a putty.

Limitations

Do not use this adhesive tack on absorbent wallpaper, silk screen printed wallpaper, hand stencilled wallpaper or porous brickwork. It is not suitable for supporting heavy objects; according to the TDS, 0.5g holds 105g of load. Adhesive properties may increase over time, so take extra care when removing after several months. On some surfaces, long-term use may leave a slight oily mark, so always test on a small hidden area first.

How to remove

  1. Remove Blu Tack® by rolling it carefully off of the surface. It can then be used again and again.
  2. Any remaining shreds can be removed by gently rolling the adhesive tack on the wall or dabbing a new blob of Blu Tack® over the surfaces.

The adhesive properties of Bostik Blu Tack® increase over time, so take extra care when removing it after a period of months.
