Bostik Gasket Sealant Black is a permanently flexible gasket maker and automotive sealant, formulated as a non-slump acetoxy curing paste that cures to a permanently flexible silicone rubber upon exposure to atmospheric moisture at room temperature.

Technical Information
The product is heat stabilized, and it is flexible and stable at temperatures up to 280°C (for intermittent periods). It is also highly resistant to oil, transmission fluid and antifreeze. This product adheres to glass, metal, wood, silicone rubber and some plastic* substrates.
How to Use
- The substrate must be dry and clean (dust and grease free). It is recommended to wear gloves during use.
- Unscrew cap, pierce film with reverse side of cap. Cut to desired bead size, screw nozzle onto tube.
- Apply an even bead to all sides of the gasket (2-4mm). Refrain from repositioning once the skin has formed.
- Tack free time 8-15 minutes after application. Sealant fully cures in 24 hours.
To obtain a smooth and neat finish, apply masking tape and remove before sealant cures. Paint surfaces completely before applying sealant.
Ensure good ventilation if used indoors. Contact of vulcanized silicone sealant with eyes and mucous membranes must be avoided as this will cause irritation. Prolonged contact with eyes, flush with water and consult physician. Keep out of reach of children.

Ensure the surfaces are clean and dry, cut the nozzle to the desired bead size and apply a continuous, even 2–4 mm bead. Avoid repositioning the sealant once the skin has formed and allow it to cure fully.
