HARD PLASTICS
Bostik Hard Plastic is a clear, water-resistant plastic adhesive designed for bonding hard plastic items to themselves and each other. This polyurethane-based glue for plastic is easy to apply by brush and provides immediate strength on contact. Suitable for household repairs, it can bond hard plastics including nylon, PU, PVC-U, ABS and high impact polystyrene, as well as most clear plastics, wood, metal and leather.

Bostik Hard Plastic is a solvent-borne polyurethane adhesive for application on hard plastics. It has a translucent appearance, a typical working time of 5–10 minutes and reaches full cure in 24 hours. Once aligned and pressed together, the bonded surfaces stick immediately.

Surface Compatibility
Suitable materials include nylon, PU, PVC-U, ABS and high impact polystyrene. Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from dust, dirt and grease before bonding.

How to use
For best results, ensure surfaces are dry, clean and free from dust and grease. Wearing gloves is recommended.
Application
- Remove tube cap. Using a brush, spread a thin layer of the adhesive evenly over both surfaces.
- Leave the coated surfaces until the adhesive is no longer tacky, approximately 10 minutes at normal room temperature.
- Once glue is no longer tacky, ensure surfaces are accurately aligned and then press firmly together. They will stick immediately.
Use as a hard plastic glue, plastic adhesive or plastic to plastic adhesive for repairing household objects made from suitable hard plastics. It is designed for bonding hard plastic items to themselves and each other, and can also be used for sticking most clear plastics, wood, metal and leather.
Cleaning
- After use, wipe the nozzle with a clean dry cloth (avoiding skin contact).
- Bostik Hard Plastics adhesive can be removed using acetone before set. Solvents can damage some surfaces, therefore carry out a test on a small area first.
Limitations
Not suitable for PP, PE or silicone. This means it should not be described as a polyethylene glue. The TDS does not position this product as a plastic epoxy, plastic-to-cement adhesive or waterproof glue for plastic, so those claims should not be used without additional approved data.
