How to use

Blu Tack® performs best on non-porous surfaces e.g. painted surfaces, glass, metal etc. Do not use on recently decorated surfaces or absorbent, silk-screen printed, or hand stencilled wallpaper.

  1. Pull off a piece of Blu Tack® and activate it by pulling and stretching
  2. Roll into a ball, place between the two surfaces and press firmly

How to remove

  1. Remove Blu Tack® by rolling it carefully off of the surface. It can then be used again and again.
  2. Any remaining shreds can be removed by gently rolling the adhesive tack on the wall or dabbing a new blob of Blu Tack® over the surfaces.

The adhesive properties of Bostik Blu Tack® increase over time, so take extra care when removing it after a period of months.

How do you get Blu Tack® off wallpaper?

Blu Tack®'s adhesiveness increases over time so take extra care if it's been on there a while. We'd recommend rolling it gently as you can then using what you can get off to dab any remaining bits.

How do you get Blu Tack® out of hair / clothes / carpet?

HAIR: Pour a decent amount of baby oil onto the area where the Blu Tack® is stuck. Work the baby oil into the Blu Tack, but don't try and pull it out yet! Leave the baby oil to soak in for about 5 minutes, then you should be able to pull the Blu Tack® out.

CLOTHES: Try freezing the Blu Tack® to scrape as much off as you can, then dab any remaining with a cotton ball dipped in vegetable oil.

CARPET: Trodden on Blu Tack® can really stick. Remove it by heating the area with a hairdryer - warmed up Blu Tack® is easier to pry off. Still needs work? Blot it with a mixture of 1 teaspoon of washing-up liquid and 1 cup of warm water.

How much weight can Blu Tack® hold?

Bostik Blu Tack® does not have a single weight limit that applies to every application. The amount it can hold depends on factors such as the surface type, the condition of the surface, the size of the item being attached and how much Blu Tack® is used.

For best results, test Bostik Blu Tack® on your intended surface before use and ensure the surface is clean and suitable for the application.

Is Blu Tack® tested on animals or made with any animals ingredients?

Blu Tack® is not tested on any animals nor does it contain ingredients made from animal byproducts.

Is swallowing Blu Tack® dangerous?

Blu Tack® is a non-toxic, non-harmful substance and will not cause any problems if swallowed, only mild discomfort. If any discomfort experienced continues, we recommend seeking medical advice.

What age range is Blu Tack® suitable for?

Blu Tack is suitable for both children and adults. However, it should not be given to children under the age of three. Young children should always be supervised when using adhesive products to help ensure safe use.

What surfaces can Blu Tack stick to?

Blu Tack can be used on many smooth and non-porous surfaces, including glass, metal, plastic, painted walls and finished wood. The level of adhesion may vary depending on the condition and texture of the surface.

For the best results, apply Blu Tack to clean, dry surfaces and avoid using it to support heavy objects.

How does Blu Tack® stick best?

Avoid storing Bostik Blu Tack near heat sources or in very hot environments, as high temperatures can soften the adhesive and affect how well it performs during future use.

Can Blu Tack® leave stains?

Yes, Bostik Blu Tack® can leave marks or stains on some surfaces, depending on the surface type, condition and how long the product remains in place.

For best results, test Bostik Blu Tack® on a small, inconspicuous area before use. Surface finishes, paint types and environmental conditions can affect both adhesion and removal.
