What is the correct way to apply Gasket Sealant?
To apply Bostik Gasket Sealant, first ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, dirt, rust, oil and grease. Cut the nozzle to the required bead size and apply a continuous, even bead of sealant.
For best results, apply a bead approximately 2 to 4 mm wide using steady pressure. If required, smooth the sealant with a spatula dipped in mild detergent and then allow it to cure. The sealant typically becomes tack-free within 8 to 15 minutes and reaches full cure in approximately 24 hours.
