Create your Bohemian Advent Calendar

Step 1 : Cutting the beam

Cut the beam to about 60 cm or more if you want it longer!

Gently sand the ends.

Step 2 : Preparing the beam

Roll the macramé rope around the beam. Apply dots of Fix & Flash glue at regular intervals. Turn the light on and shine on the applied glue for 15 seconds, and it’s set!

Step 3 : Make the loops

Leave a little length of rope on the ends of the beam as shown.

Tie knots to make the loops to be able to suspend your calendar.

Step 4 : Glue the pegs

Glue the small clothes pegs to your creation with Bostik Fix & Flash glue.

Step 5 : Cut the cloth

Cut 24 squares out of the cloth. Place sweets or other surprises of your choice in the centre of each square. 

Step 6 : Make the number tags

Prepare 24 number tags. Cut small rectangles out of cardboard paper, then punch a hole on one side and write numbers 1-24 using a marker.

Step 7 : Create cloth pouches

Wrap the cloth up around the sweets to form pouches. Make a knot with the string, then cut off the excess fabric from each pouch.

Step 8 : Hang up your calendar

Clip the pouches to the pegs on your calendar. All you have to do now is hang your Bohemian advent calendar on the wall, with pretty fairy lights for even more magic!
