Lid it, and recycle bin it!

At Bostik, we firmly believe that adhesives have an essential role to play to help build a world that is more sustainable.

Whether it's by helping objects to last longer, to better insulate, to fix instead of replace, to reduce size and weight, or make recycling easier, we know adhesive solutions can help reduce the impact of many of our industries, and of many of the objects that make up our daily environment.

One step we've taken in Australia is to work with APCO - the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation - to assess our stationery product's packaging components. 

We're proud to say that the first products to pass the test are our glue sticks!

The cap and tube of each stick can be placed in your curbside recycling bin, potentially diverting 5.5m units from landfill. All you need to do is ensure the lid is attached to the tube before you place it in the bin. If it's not attached, it's too small for the automatic sorting machines to detect, and gets lost in the process - so lid it before you bin it!
